What are histamine issues?

Histamine Haven is here to help people suffering histamine or mast cell mediated symptoms; however, many people have never even heard of these factors! Histamine or mast cell mediated symptoms could include a myriad of issues affecting the full body, such as:

  • Skin, digestive system and nervous system problems;

  • Joint, muscle, chest, pelvic, nerve or menstrual pain;

  • Headaches or migraines;

  • Heart or breathing problems (lungs or sinuses);

  • And more!

Histamine Intolerance occurs when the body has built up too much histamine because it either produces too much histamine or has difficulty breaking it down. Mast cells are best known for releasing histamine, and other chemicals, during an allergic reaction. MCAS is one type of mast cell activation disorder where mast cells are hyper-reactive, meaning they release excessive amounts of chemical mediators. Unlike an allergic reaction, there are typically a variety of triggers that stimulate the release of chemical mediators. These types of reactions are sometimes referred to as pseudo-allergies, or idiopathic allergies (unknown cause), because the antibodies involved in an allergic response aren’t present.

Both scenarios can result in a variety of seemingly unrelated symptoms that can come and go, or even migrate in the body.

Increasingly, people are suffering from symptoms that their doctors can’t explain. Over time, more and more symptoms show up, and, often, no diagnosis is ever offered that explains all of the symptoms. Sometimes, a diagnosis is found that fits your collection of symptoms, but there is no effective treatment for it. Perhaps you have even done the rounds with specialists - allergists, gastroenterologists, hematologists, rheumatologists...Maybe you’ve even tried the natural route, and nothing seems to help.

How can Histamine Haven help?

All of these situations are frustrating. We know - we’ve been through it too!
